Responsibilities
- Interviewing new co-workers
- Initiating paperwork and computer entry into the HR system (UKG)
- Working with the plant manager(s) and Senior Leadership team to resolve co-worker related issues
- Managing all aspects of human resource function at McDonald Plastic Molding
- Leading all activities in performance management including coaching and mentoring all levels of leadership to maximize co-worker development, performance management and coaching improvement plans
- Providing leadership to the HR team and building organizational capability and effectiveness
- Providing HR advice and counsel to the management team on human resource issues
- Developing and managing the budget and other financial measures of the HR Department
- Recommend and maintaining an organizational structure and support staffing levels that meet company goals and objectives
- Enhancing and/or developing, implementing and enforcing human resources policies and procedures of the organization
- Developing and implementing recruitment processes to proactively attract and retain high performance talent for the organization including sourcing, hiring and onboarding
- Cooking and leading talent development and succession planning
- Overseeing compensation programs to ensure regulatory compliance, competitive rewards programs and effective talent retention and attraction strategies
- Supporting A.Y. McDonald Industries Human Resources initiatives as it relates to McDonald Plastic Molding HR operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college/university or 3 years or more of relevant experience
- Experience in the contract manufacturing or manufacturing industry is preferred
- Previous work in a highly complex and flexible work environment is a must
- Experience in the area of human resources and safety is beneficial
- Demonstrated experience in working with a broad team that emphasizes collaborative decision making and coordination between multiple functions both inside the business and at the corporate level
- An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
