About the role
Takes the lead in the district's recruitment and hiring function, ensuring positions are posted, candidate pipelines are managed, and hiring processes are coordinated consistently across the district.
Responsibilities
- Taking ownership of the hiring pipeline and operational ownership and execution discipline across the assigned elements of the department.
- Serving as a point of contact for posting and recruitment process questions, hiring process coordination, candidate pipeline concerns, recruiting events or outreach efforts, hard-to-fill hiring support, operational workflow breakdowns, HR service and employee support process issues, records, data, or administrative execution concerns, onboarding and employee processing coordination, leave/benefits administration workflow concerns, and operational continuity and cross-training needs.
- Leading recruitment and hiring process, overseeing the district's recruitment and hiring processes from request through onboarding handoff, managing position postings, candidate movement, and overall hiring process coordination, supporting timely and organized movement of candidates through the hiring pipeline, ensuring hiring leaders understand their role within the process, supporting coordination of internal transfer and promotion processes, ensuring appropriate alignment where workforce planning or employee relations context is present, overseeing day-to-day HR functions, including employee services, leave and benefits administration, onboarding processing, employee records, data workflows, and operational support, monitoring workload distribution, and supporting clear ownership across operational anchor areas.
- Maintaining visibility into service volume, workflow bottlenecks, and operational risk areas, helping ensure the HR personnel function as a coordinated operational unit rather than a collection of disconnected tasks, supporting cross-training and continuity planning across the HR Department, ensuring the team balances clear ownership with flexibility during peak periods and launch demands, supporting onboarding handoff and hiring-related internal communication, helping ensure the hiring process moves clearly from staffing need to employee start, helping improve hiring systems, communication, and overall candidate experience, identifying workflow gaps, bottlenecks, or process improvements related to recruiting and hiring, supporting a hiring experience that is clear, timely, and professional for candidates and leaders, maintaining visibility into HR records, system updates, administrative documentation, and process integrity, ensuring operational ownership of data accuracy, records quality, and routine reporting support, identifying and resolving operational gaps, inefficiencies, or process bottlenecks, supporting implementation of tools, tracking methods, and system improvements, and performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or HR operations.
- 3+ years of experience in HR operations, HR administration, or process-oriented HR support.
- Experience coordinating or managing hiring processes.
- Experience coordinating or overseeing administrative workflows.
Qualifications
- Clearances: Candidate must be fingerprinted and clear a criminal background check.
- Physical Demands & Work Environment: Primarily sedentary office environment; frequently required to sit, talk, and hear; occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms; ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally. Travel to various school buildings and district sites may be required.
- Mental Demands: Ability to maintain emotional control under stress; ability to handle high-volume, complex matters with strict confidentiality.
