Human Resources Intern - Summer 2027

About the role

The Human Resources (HR) Intern provides support to the HR Department and assists with business needs related to HR support. This role involves daily interaction and collaboration across all departments within Stellar, offering exposure to multiple facets of HR, including employee relations, talent acquisition, and compensation/benefits. The intern will develop and own a real-world HR project to drive Stellar’s HR plans forward.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to HR responsibilities at Stellar’s Garner, IA headquarters and satellite locations in Northern Iowa.
• Partner with the HR team to analyze, review, and propose program and process changes regarding interns and the internship program.
• Support further utilization and efficiency of the HRIS system.
• Assist with onboarding functions, including sending new hire documents, creating onboarding folders, requesting access, and setting up orientation schedules.
• Assist HR generalists with leader and employee support as issues arise.
• Assist with document updates, project coordination, and implementation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Strong interpersonal, written communication, and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and initiative to work independently or as part of a team.
• Desire to learn, practicality, and creativity, particularly in computing and graphic design.
• Ability to follow established procedures and solve problems efficiently.
• Quick learner with the ability to adhere to strict deadlines.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled undergraduate student studying business, marketing, human resources, or a related field.
