Human Resources (HR) Manager (Laurie P)
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary HR advisor to employees and leadership.
- Manage employee relations matters, investigations, and conflict resolution.
- Coach managers on performance management, development, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Drive a high-performance culture through effective performance management practices.
- Support succession planning and employee development initiatives.
Talent Acquisition
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for corporate and operational positions.
- Develop sourcing strategies to attract top talent.
- Build and maintain a talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs.
- Partner with hiring managers on workforce planning and hiring decisions.
- Facilitate interviewing, offer negotiations, and onboarding.
Employee Engagement & Culture
- Lead employee engagement, retention, recognition, and wellness initiatives.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive workplace culture.
- Conduct employee surveys and develop action plans based on feedback.
Compensation & Benefits
- Administer employee benefits programs and annual open enrollment.
- Serve as the primary liaison with benefit providers.
- Support compensation analysis, salary administration, and incentive programs.
HR Compliance & Operations
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Maintain HR policies, procedures, handbooks, and employee records.
- Oversee onboarding, offboarding, promotions, transfers, and exit interviews.
- Analyze HR metrics and provide recommendations to improve organizational effectiveness.
- Lead HR process improvements and support change management initiatives.
Strategic HR & Organizational Growth
- Partner with leadership on workforce planning and organizational development.
- Support mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, integration planning, employee communications, and workforce transitions.
- Serve as a trusted business partner to leadership on strategic HR initiatives.
Ideal Background
- Strong employee relations and performance management experience.
- Experience supporting multi-state and remote workforces.
- Proven success building and improving HR programs in a growing organization.
- Ability to work independently as the sole HR professional.
- Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
