About the role

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead core HR operations for a growing organization in Midland, Texas. This role will oversee employee support programs, guide managers through people-related processes, and help maintain a positive and compliant workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day human resources activities, ensuring employees and leaders receive timely guidance on workplace policies, procedures, and HR practices.
  • Manage compensation, benefits, and payroll administration, helping employees understand available programs while maintaining accurate and organized records.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires, creating a smooth start-to-work experience and ensuring completion of required documentation and training steps.
  • Partner with leadership to support performance review cycles, provide process guidance, and encourage consistent employee development conversations.
  • Address employee concerns and workplace disputes with professionalism, using sound judgment to support fair and constructive resolutions.
  • Monitor HR operations for alignment with applicable local, state, and federal employment regulations, and recommend updates when requirements change.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact between employees and management, helping communicate expectations, concerns, and organizational priorities effectively.
  • Maintain and utilize HRIS and payroll systems, including ADP, to support reporting, employee data accuracy, and efficient HR administration.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in human resources, including broad exposure to employee relations and HR administration.
  • Hands-on experience managing benefits, payroll, and onboarding processes in a detail-oriented business environment.
  • Working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance requirements at the local, state, and federal levels.
  • Experience using HRIS platforms and payroll systems, including ADP or comparable tools.
  • Ability to handle sensitive employee matters with discretion, integrity, and sound judgment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust across all levels of an organization.
  • Organized and detail-oriented approach to managing multiple HR priorities and maintaining accurate documentation.
