Responsibilities
- Cook up onboarding activities for new employees and ensure employee files are completed before records are activated.
- Review onboarding documentation such as I-9 forms, identification, applications, and related paperwork for accuracy and compliance.
- Enter and maintain employee information in HR and payroll systems with a high level of precision.
- Set up employee tax details and verify data aligns with supporting documentation.
- Partner with payroll staff to validate submitted employee information and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Aid in administrative tasks tied to background checks, onboarding workflows, and personnel record updates.
- Support in-office HR operations by tracking required documents and following up on missing items.
- Contribute to data entry and user support activities connected to the organization’s custom workforce and payroll tools.
Requirements
- Previous experience in human resources, payroll support, or a closely related administrative function.
- Working knowledge of onboarding procedures and employment documentation, including I-9 requirements.
- Strong clerical and organizational skills with consistent attention to detail.
- Experience using HRIS platforms or other employee data systems.
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general office software.
- Comfortable working in a permanent on-site office environment in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
