About the role
This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who is organized, responsive, and comfortable handling a high volume of clerical and employee-related documentation in an on-site setting. The person in this role will help keep records accurate, respond to routine inquiries, and assist with essential HR paperwork that supports the employee lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate employee and department records by entering information into HR systems and spreadsheets with strong attention to detail.
- Organize, scan, and file personnel documents so records remain current, accessible, and compliant with department standards.
- Answer incoming calls and direct HR-related questions to the appropriate team members while providing front-line support with careful attention to detail.
- Prepare and complete routine employment documents, including separation paperwork, unemployment-related forms, and employment verification requests.
- Assist with onboarding and general HR administrative activities to support employees and internal stakeholders.
- Support pre-employment screening procedures and related documentation as part of employee record processes.
- Use Microsoft Office tools and, when applicable, HRIS platforms to update and manage information efficiently.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in administrative support or human resources assistance, with the ability to manage clerical tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, along with overall confidence using computers and digital systems.
- Ability to undergo required screening and maintain eligibility to work in the United States.
- Must meet the minimum age requirement for employment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when handling confidential forms and employee records.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to manage phone inquiries in a courteous and timely manner.
Preferred skills
- Bilingual Spanish skills are preferred.
- Experience using HRIS platforms such as Workday or UKG is a plus.
