Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience with demonstrated success in human resource management in a Skilled Nursing Facility/Long-Term Care Facility.
  • Knowledgeable of the laws, regulations, and guidelines concerning personnel administration in Post-Acute care settings.

Responsibilities

  • Record cash receipts in the proper account.
  • Maintain necessary billing and financial information in resident files.
  • Maintain resident trust accounts and balances monthly.
  • Work efficiently and communicate with corporate billers.
  • Coordinate all collection efforts in collaboration with the nursing home Administrator.
  • Maintain accurate records of incoming payments with addresses, telephone numbers, etc.; explain bills to residents as necessary and maintain appropriate backup records.
  • Maintain system for recording accounts receivables.
  • Knowledge of reimbursement system, allowable services, and documentation required to ensure accurate billing.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information.
  • Maintain effective communication with residents, families, facility staff, and business office staff members.
  • Work with residents to qualify for Medicaid.
  • Recruitment of staff as needed.
  • Processing of new hires.
  • Payroll oversight.
  • Facilitating and mediating all labor-related issues.
  • Ensure all reports and records are completed promptly.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned by Administrator.
