About the role
The Business Office Manager oversees financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, benefits administration, and resident trust management.
Responsibilities
- Guide, inspire, and support the office team to achieve high standards of accuracy, accountability, and foster a positive and collaborative environment.
- Show attention to detail in documentation, record keeping, data entry, financial reporting, and billing.
- Address issues effectively by prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with residents, families, interdisciplinary teams, and external partners.
- Resolve conflicts and mediate interpersonal issues.
- Create a supportive and engaging atmosphere for residents.
- Collaborate with and promote teamwork among departments, professionals, consultants, and organizations including government regulatory agencies.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong passion for geriatric advocacy and commitment to senior care excellence.
- Somewhat college education preferred.
- One to three years of nursing home accounting, business office accounting experience preferred.
