Human Resources Generalist (The Star)

About the Role
The HR Generalist reports to the Human Resources Manager with a dotted line to the General Manager. This role manages HR Compliance, HR Audits, HR Files, Employee Celebrations, Job Fairs, Hourly Recruiting, and Training and Development of hourly staff, while also assisting the HR Manager in a support capacity.
Responsibilities
- Ensure hourly staff are engaged and functioning in their roles.
- Maintain HR compliance, including up-to-date Federal and State postings (English and Spanish versions).
- Lead training and development for hourly staff (e.g., customer service, relationship-building).
- Organize job fairs to recruit hourly staff.
- Oversee Employee Celebrations (Employee of the Month, Quarter, and Year).
- Track hourly attrition and identify trends by area.
- Conduct HR audits to ensure employee files (active and terminated) are accurate and up to date.
- Prepare offer letters and manage onboarding for hourly employees.
- Serve as a liaison between employees and managers.
- Provide direction, coordination, and support to managerial staff for hourly staff needs.
- Foster a harmonious work environment across all staff levels.
- Maintain office supplies, equipment, snacks, and refreshments for staff.
Requirements
- Experience working with employees and managers.
- Knowledge of workplace safety requirements.
- Experience in recruiting and talent recognition.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
- Ability to read, speak, and write in English.
- Sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks, including standing or walking for long periods.
- Availability to address hourly staff concerns.
- Commitment to safe work habits, including following all safety policies and completing required training.
