Human Resources Generalist NAM & LAM Bilingual Spanish & English
About the role
The HR Generalist – NAM & LAM (Bilingual English Spanish MANDATORY) is a regional position that supports day-to-day HR operations across the United States and Latin America, serving as a key point of contact for employees and job applicants on personnel functions, policies, and procedures. The position is responsible for maintaining accurate employee records, personnel files, and HR data in the system of record, as well as processing personnel requisitions, action forms, and supporting the integrity of organizational charts and headcount reporting across the region.
QHSSE
Required to follow all QHSSE and Compliance policies and procedures and complete training by using all systems as defined by Stratum Reservoir. Responsible for creating opportunities for improvement, reporting and investigating incidents, non-conformances, and operative issues. Employees must submit STAR cards and report any risks identified on the job. Participation in meetings and general activities created to help in preventing risks is required. Responsible to stop the job and assess whether the conditions are safe to continue work. If applicable, must be responsible for completing all required QHSSE and Compliance reporting.
Responsibilities
- Support the HR Manager NAM & LAM with day-to-day HR operations across the U.S. and Latin America.
- Coordinate regional HR processes including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, employee changes, benefits coordination, reporting, compliance, and employee communications.
- Create job requisitions and job descriptions.
- Perform recruiting and staffing functions including screening candidates and working with outside agencies where appropriate.
- Ensure the hiring process is conducted in a timely manner.
- Answer questions related to benefits and Company policy.
- Maintain employee records utilizing ADP Workforce Now.
- Pre-screen qualified job applicants and refer them to managers, making hiring recommendations when appropriate; schedule and conduct interviews.
- Conduct reference checks and run background checks.
- Prepare and communicate offers of employment.
- Conduct new employee orientations and handle onboarding of new employees.
- Conduct exit interviews.
- Respond to unemployment claims.
- Plan and coordinate employee meetings and events.
- Support regional benefits administration, vendor coordination, and employee communications.
- Assist with audits, training records, compliance documentation, and HR reporting.
- Support employee relations matters and manager follow-up.
- Maintain organizational charts, headcount reports, turnover tracking, and HR metrics.
- Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding processes across multiple countries.
- Provide bilingual HR support and communications in English and Spanish.
- Support special HR projects and operational initiatives as assigned.

- Fully bilingual in English and Spanish required.
- A high level of communication skills is required in order to interact with all levels of management and staff.

- Team player with strong ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Portuguese is a plus.

- Hands-on operational mindset with strong customer service orientation.
- Advanced Excel and HR systems knowledge preferred.
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of HR experience in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferably in Human Resources or related field.
- People oriented and results driven.
- Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics.
- Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
- Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
- In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
- Experience supporting multi-country or regional HR operations preferred.
- Experience with benefits, recruiting, onboarding, and employee relations required.
- Experience supporting operational, laboratory, or field environments preferred.
- Experience with HRIS platforms preferred.
