Job Overview
About the role
The Human Resources Generalist II supports the organization by ensuring compliance with employment laws, managing employee relations, facilitating recruitment and onboarding, administering benefits, and promoting a positive workplace culture.
Responsibilities
- Administer various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel
- Aid in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures
- Prepare and maintain employee handbook and policies and procedures manual
- Organize employee engagement activities, conduct stay interviews, and promote inclusion
- Collaborate with a Senior HR Manager to communicate policies and procedures for a customer-driven environment
- Assist in recruitment efforts, including job postings, application/resume review, and coordination of interview processes with hiring managers
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices
- Provide liaison between employees and management
- Support performance management initiatives, retention strategies, and employee development
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required in Human Resources, Business or Management
- 2-3 years HR experience
- Excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Proven time management skills: ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks effectively
- Exceptional judgment and common sense, demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and develop employee-centric solutions
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Results-oriented with a track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment
- Process improvement and data analytical skills preferred
