About the role
Texas A&M University is seeking Human Resources Generalist II, III, and IV positions to help drive their people-first, service-oriented approach. They are looking for individuals with varying levels of experience in HR Generalist roles.
Responsibilities
- Create, post, and process personnel actions in Workday and related systems
- Maintain personnel records and process payroll
- Prepare HR documents for approval and processing
- Ensure timely and accurate entry of all Workday transactions while maintaining compliance with University, System, State, and Federal requirements
- Process a variety of personnel actions, provide status updates to departments, and serve as a subject matter resource for leave and absence, TrainTraq usage, classification actions, and performance management
- Provide guidance on university, state, and federal rules, laws, and requirements for Human Resources and Payroll
- Develop and amend policies and processes, and provide training, mentoring, and team leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- One full year of HR Generalist related experience for HR Generalist II
- Three full years of HR Generalist related experience for HR Generalist III
- Five full years of HR Generalist related experience for HR Generalist IV
- No prior HR Generalist experience required for HR Generalist I
Qualifications
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Knowledge of HR concepts, principles, and practices
- Knowledge of Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
Skills
- Ability to positively and professionally interact with clients and staff
- Positive and professional interaction with clients and staff, groups of various sizes
- Knowledge of HR concepts, principles, and practices
- Knowledge of Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
