Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and managers/supervisors regarding policies, procedures, benefits, and workplace concerns
- Support employee relations matters including coaching, conflict resolution, investigations, and documentation
- Support full-cycle recruiting efforts including sourcing, interviewing, scheduling, offer preparation, and onboarding
- Care for new hire orientation and assist with onboarding and training initiatives
- Cook up employee benefits programs and assist employees with benefit questions and enrollment
- Aid with performance management processes, employee engagement initiatives, and retention efforts
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
- Cook up leave administration, workers compensation, and unemployment claims processes
- Aid with payroll support and other HR administrative functions as needed
- Translate HR communications and assist Spanish-speaking employees as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of Human Resources experience in a Generalist or similar HR role
- Bilingual in Spanish and English required
- Experience with employee relations, benefits administration, and recruiting
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite preferred
- Preferred Experience: Production, distribution, or multi-site environment experience preferred
- Experience supporting hourly and salaried employee populations
- HR certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP is a plus
- Will travel to Rochester also
