About the role

You will run the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) Department, including employee relations, reporting, compliance, benefits administration, payroll administration, onboarding, training, development, offboarding, and performance review management. This role is ideal for a practitioner with experience growing and scaling programs.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
  • Handle offboarding procedures, conducting exit interviews and processing necessary documentation.
  • Administer human resources policies and procedures that pertain to employee relations.
  • Research and analyze data pertaining to human resources; implement programs to increase employee satisfaction.
  • Help identify and analyze any employee relations issues and possible resolutions.
  • Coordinate and assist in conducting performance reviews, providing support to managers and employees throughout the review process.
  • Maintain records of performance evaluations and ensure they align with company policies.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to support recruitment efforts, including job fairs and onsite events.
  • Assist in the coordination of recruitment activities to attract and retain top talent.
  • Compile and analyze HR metrics and data to generate reports for management, providing insights for decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Monitor compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies, making necessary adjustments to ensure adherence.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
  • Collaborate with benefits providers, resolve employee queries, and facilitate open enrollment processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Professional HR Certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR) is a plus.
  • 4+ years of proven experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar role, demonstrating knowledge of HR principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with HR software and systems for data management and reporting.
  • Experience with HRIS and ATS is a significant advantage.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Investigative interviewing experience (e.g., Wicklander-Zulawski (WZ)) is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
