Summary The Human Resources Generalist position is responsible for coordinating daily human resources functions including, but not limited to, employee relations, benefits administration, talent acquisition and management, training, coaching site leaders in areas of health, safety and employment law compliance. Serves as a consultant and partner to management on all human resource-related topics. This position reports to the HR Director.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.Handles employment-related inquiries and escalates as needed.Attends and actively participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.Provides day-to-day performance management guidance (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).Conduct exit interviews and manage off-boarding process for terminated employees.Assists in creating and analysing reports, metrics, and results of department in relation to established goals.Supports local recruitment efforts, as needed, in conjunction with the Talent Acquisition team.Assists with new hire orientation, onboarding and 30, 60, 90 evaluation process.Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.Performs other duties as assigned.Participates in all TVS quality and excellence initiatives. Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, sit, stand, and walk. Walking up to 30 minutes consistently in a non-temperature-controlled production environment is required. Requires good hand/eye coordination. May lift to 20lbs on occasion. Work EnvironmentThis job is performed in an office environment with occasional exposure to a non-temperature-controlled warehouse environment. The employee is occasionally exposed to high forklift traffic. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, scanners and photocopiers. Steel-toed shoes and vests are required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when in the warehouse. Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkFull Time. Schedule flexibility for extended or unplanned work hours is required. TravelThis position may require travel between locations.
