Human Resources Generalist

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day HR operations and serve as a resource for employees and leaders
• Facilitate new hire orientation and help create a positive onboarding experience
• Administer HR functions including benefits, leave, compensation, performance, talent management, recognition, and morale initiatives
• Support employee relations, disciplinary meetings, investigations, and terminations
• Oversee pre-employment screening processes and requirements
• Provide recruiting support, including interviewing and hiring, and participate in job fairs and recruiting events
• Help maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
• Support employee engagement, recognition, wellness, safety, training, and development initiatives
• Contribute to HR technology and process improvement projects
• Help bring company-wide initiatives and events such as May Day, Safety Day, and Tusco Gives to life

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• Previous HR Generalist experience
• Strong knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and time-management skills
• Sound judgment and the ability to handle sensitive information with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to learn and effectively utilize HRIS and talent management systems
