About the role
The Human Resources Generalist supports HR initiatives in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Recruits, screens, and onboards qualified candidates and new hires to support organizational staffing needs.
- Provides coaching and guidance to managers and supervisors on team member relations, performance management, and HR best practices.
- Collaborates with the North America Human Resources team to develop, update, and implement HR policies, procedures, and initiatives.
- Facilitates the annual performance review process, including scheduling, communications, and merit planning for the Mesa facility.
- Plans and coordinates company events and employee engagement activities at the Mesa facility.
- Maintains the HRIS database, ensuring accurate team member information and providing reports as needed.
- Supports payroll and timekeeping processes for the Mesa facility.
- Administers the employee discipline process and attendance program for the Mesa facility.
- Coordinates benefits enrollment activities and provides day-to-day benefits administration support.
- Administers workers' compensation and FMLA programs, ensuring compliance with applicable requirements.
- Supports training and development initiatives and completes special projects related to human resources as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a Human Resources role.
- Experience supporting HR functions in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
- PHRO or SPHR certification preferred.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Excellent organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively with team members at all levels of the organization.
- Able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and strong computer skills.
- Experience with an HRIS system; Dayforce experience preferred.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
