Responsibilities

  • Administer and manage leave programs including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and workers’ compensation processes
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts for hourly roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring
  • Cook up and facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation to ensure a strong employee experience
  • Respond to employee questions on any HR-related matter—payroll, benefits, career growth, and more
  • Support a wide range of employee relations activities including investigations, coaching, conflict resolution, and engagement initiatives
  • Plan and support employee engagement activities and morale-building initiatives
  • Conduct exit interviews, support offboarding processes, and maintain accurate employee records
  • Collaborate with HR team members and leaders to drive continuous process improvement
  • Demonstrate flexibility by stepping in to support a variety of HR needs as they arise

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 3+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally with full lifecycle recruiting in a high volume manufacturing environment
  • Solid knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels—from shop floor to senior leadership
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Experience with HR systems and data (e.g., Excel, HRIS platforms)
  • Union environment exposure is a plus, but not required
