Responsibilities
- Administer and manage leave programs including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and workers’ compensation processes
- Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts for hourly roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring
- Cook up and facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation to ensure a strong employee experience
- Respond to employee questions on any HR-related matter—payroll, benefits, career growth, and more
- Support a wide range of employee relations activities including investigations, coaching, conflict resolution, and engagement initiatives
- Plan and support employee engagement activities and morale-building initiatives
- Conduct exit interviews, support offboarding processes, and maintain accurate employee records
- Collaborate with HR team members and leaders to drive continuous process improvement
- Demonstrate flexibility by stepping in to support a variety of HR needs as they arise
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
- 3+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally with full lifecycle recruiting in a high volume manufacturing environment
- Solid knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels—from shop floor to senior leadership
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Experience with HR systems and data (e.g., Excel, HRIS platforms)
- Union environment exposure is a plus, but not required
