Human Resources Generalist
About the role
TAT Technologies is seeking a dynamic HR Generalist to support day-to-day human resources operations. The role serves as a key resource for employees and management while fostering a positive and compliant workplace culture.
Responsibilities
- Administer and optimize comprehensive benefits programs
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding payroll, leave requests, and HR policies
- Oversee seamless onboarding and offboarding processes to maximize retention and ensure a positive employee experience
- Manage and audit HRIS data and employee records, maintaining strict confidentiality and 100% data accuracy
- Champion employee relations by actively addressing concerns, resolving frontline conflicts, and escalating complex issues appropriately
- Ensure absolute compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, keeping company policies aligned with evolving regulations
- Cook up annual performance review cycles and facilitate employee development and training initiatives
- Compile and analyze key HR metrics and reports to support data-driven decision-making for leadership
- Support employee engagement strategies, training programs, and company events to foster a collaborative culture
- Partner with management to provide strategic guidance on HR best practices, policy interpretation, and team dynamics
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; OR an equivalent combination of education and hands-on professional HR experience (typically 3-5+ years in a dedicated HR role)
- Solid working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws, with a proven track record of applying HR best practices to real-world scenarios
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms and the Microsoft Office Suite; direct experience with Paylocity is highly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage highly sensitive situations and employee data with the utmost professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
- Pioneered ability to effectively prioritize, multi-task, and stay organized in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a natural ability to connect with employees at all levels of the organization
- Sharp attention to detail combined with strong problem-solving skills to independently navigate frontline employee relations and operational challenges
