About the role
Sinclair is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to provide support and guidance across various HR functions for multiple Pennsylvania-based TV stations.
Responsibilities
- Provide responsive, professional HR support to employees and managers.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of our people, work, and culture.
- Support talent acquisition activities, including job postings, interview coordination, candidate communications, offer letter preparation, ATS updates, pre-employment steps, and FCC/EEO recruitment recordkeeping.
- Ensure compliance with employment regulations, including FLSA, ADAA, EEO, and applicable state and local employment laws.
- Interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
- Cook up onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring all required tasks are completed in the appropriate systems.
- Maintain working knowledge of HR systems, including Oracle Cloud HRIS.
- Partner with managers to address employee relations matters, including performance, employee concerns, investigations, and policy interpretation.
- Support benefits administration, including employee education and communication, Open Enrollment, and audits as needed.
- Administer and track leaves of absence, including FMLA, and applicable state and local sick leave requirements; coordinate the reasonable accommodation process.
- Respond to unemployment claims, workers’ compensation claims, and employment verifications.
- Maintain confidential electronic HR records and accurate employee data.
- Support HR compliance, reporting, and audit activities, including required documentation and recordkeeping.
- Affix to planning and coordinating team trainings, morale events, and activities.
- Perform other related duties and HR initiatives as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
- 3+ years of HR Generalist experience, including experience in recruitment workflows, ATS, and leave administration.
- Broadcast or related media experience is preferred.
- Ability to collaborate with a team while independently managing time, priorities, and projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, TEAMS and Word.
- Previous HRIS experience required, Oracle HRIS or other cloud-based platform experience is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and proactively with employees at all levels in person, by phone, on camera, and in writing.
- Ability to exhibit a high degree of confidentiality and proper judgement under pressure and in sensitive situations.

- Preferred to have broadcast or related media experience.

- Must have previous HRIS experience, preferably Oracle HRIS or another cloud-based platform.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and proactively with employees at all levels.

Pay
$60,000 - $80,000 annually
