About the role
The Human Resources Generalist manages the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource office, carrying out responsibilities in employee relations, benefits, compensation, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong presentation and communication skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. The Human Resources Generalist will support the HR Manager with daily tasks.
Responsibilities
- Manage all facets of RMF benefits, negotiate annual rates with carriers, and intervene with carriers for employee issue resolution
- Process and maintain employee benefits with carriers
- Maintain employee records in HR and payroll system
- Maintain and process employee performance reviews in HR system
- Process multi-state bi-weekly payroll in ADP Workforce Now
- Assist with developing job descriptions and corporate policies
- Partner with management to provide guidance and strategic objectives aligning with the organization's mission
- Ensure business practices comply with HR laws, best practices, and policies
- Analyze market trends and advise management on key metrics
- Implement and maintain the Applicant Tracking System
- Prepare and approve all offer letters to new hires
- Conduct new hire orientation, onboarding, and exit interviews
- Complete new hire reporting for all states and E-verify within 3 days of hire date
- Update employee manual as required
- Annual AAP update and manage AAP audits with HR Manager
- Act as counsel for management regarding employee matters, providing input for resolution
- Liaise between employees and management
- Maintain ERISA compliance and 5500's
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience required
- Degree in Human Resources preferred
- Proficient in MS PowerPoint for presentations
- Ability to work overtime as needed during peak seasons
- Strong communication and written skills
- Strong teamwork and work ethic
- Must be able to pass a standard background check
- Knowledge of employment laws
- Intermediate to advanced level of Excel and Word knowledge
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred

Pay
Salary range: $70,000 - $75,000 annually.
