About the Opportunity
The Human Resources Generalist role serves as the first-line HR partner in the field, delivering direct HR support to team members and leaders. This position is responsible for managing employee relations cases, ensuring compliance with HR policies, supporting acquisition transitions, and facilitating company-wide HR initiatives. The role is critical for maintaining effective HR operations at assigned locations and for building strong partnerships with field leaders.
Responsibilities
- Provide field-based HR support, including employee relations cases, compliance tasks, investigations, and documentation.
- Act as the primary HR contact for assigned locations and establish rapport with field leadership.
- Backup peers across territories as needed.
- Implement established performance management standards.
- Support acquisitions by assisting with onboarding and transition activities.
- Facilitate execution of HR initiatives such as open enrollment, wellness events, contests, and merit cycles through communication, logistics, and follow-up.
- Travel up to 25% with overnight stays for support, investigations, acquisitions, and meetings.
Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of HR experience including employee relations, performance management, and HR documentation in field-based or multi-location settings.
- Knowledge of federal and multi-state employment laws and HR practices relevant to the assigned territory.
- Ability to travel up to 25%, including overnight stays.
- Proficiency with HRIS, Microsoft Office, and HR reporting tools.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent certification.
- Preferred: Experience supporting acquisitions, organizational change, or work in a private equity-backed, high-growth home services or field operations environment.
- Preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish.
