About the role
The Human Resources Generalist role is responsible for overseeing the employee journey from start to finish. This role administers HRIS, manages benefits, processes leave, provides HR support, and manages recruitment and onboarding.
Responsibilities
- Oversee HRIS (Human Resource Information System)
- Administer and provide maintenance to health and welfare plans
- Manage annual open enrollment for benefit programs
- Process monthly bills from HR vendors
- Administer and manage all aspects of employee leave programs
- Provide HR support and guidance on employee relations
- Monitor unemployment claims and workers' compensation claims
- Manage the full cycle recruitment and onboarding process
- Administer background screening program
- Develop and maintain careers pages
- Aid in administering employee engagement and performance appraisal systems
- Develop HR metrics and report on HR functions
- Administer program initiatives such as recognition, mentor, and engagement programs
- Assist with developing HR policies and procedures
- Create and administer employee survey tools
- Support the implementation of new HR tools and systems
- Maintain confidentiality of all company and personnel information
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field with 6 years of related experience
- No degree with 10 years of related experience/education resulting in demonstrated ability to perform the major duties required
- Six or more years’ experience in HR with specific experience in benefits administration, payroll, and finance processes, recruiting, and corporate training
- Strong knowledge of laws, regulations, and guidelines concerning personnel administration in the State of Ohio
- Proficient with HRIS systems (preferably Paycom), Microsoft Office 365, Cloud Services, etc.
