Human Resources Generalist

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Use HR software to manage employee records, benefits, leaves, and compliance administration
  • Organize digital copies of employee records in assigned software
  • Process documentation and prepare reports relating to performance evaluations
  • Support employees with efficient problem-solving when any human resources issues arise
  • Communicate with other departments as needed
  • Reinforce the company policies, rules, and procedures to ensure employees’ safety
  • Oversee employee labor and HR federal laws and regulations to ensure compliance
  • Review, select resumes, and assist or conduct interviews and hiring processes and update database
  • Aid in the coordination of staffing and recruitment processes
  • Plan onboarding strategies and perform new employees’ orientation to deliver an exceptional early experience
  • Recommend and develop employee relations practices to foster a positive employer-employee relations
  • Participate in employee engagement committee
  • Maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions according to HR objectives
  • Conduct and analyze exit interviews and make actionable recommendations based on data
  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements and conducting investigations
  • Arrange seminars, workshops, additional HR training, and conferences based on each department’s needs
  • Backup for front desk operations as needed

EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of experience working in the human resources field
  • At least one year of experience in labor relations and compliance
  • At least one year of experience in compensation or benefits programs
  • Experience in performance management
  • Ability to develop and manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  • High level of customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Capacity to apply discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive information

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees, leadership, and diverse stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
  • Sound judgment and strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and situations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Comfortable learning new software and HR systems
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and perform general administrative tasks
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and make effective decisions in challenging situations
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Working knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and general office practices, with the ability to quickly learn new processes and systems
