About the role
Pet Food Experts (PFX) is a leading pet specialty distributor with over 10,000 retail locations nationwide. The Human Resources Generalist plays a crucial role in supporting the company's growth and ensuring a high-performance culture.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the implementation of HR practices and objectives.
- Develop, recommend, implement, communicate, and uphold personnel policies and procedures.
- Investigate and resolve employee grievances and transgressions.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws.
- Manage Workers' Compensation claims and ADA cases.
- Support HR initiatives and projects.
- Provide HR support across PFX's network.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, with an HR degree a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of HR experience, focusing on employee relations.
- Experience in a distribution/manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of HR best practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and in teams.
Qualifications
- SHRM Certification a plus.
- Proven experience with HRIS systems, particularly Paylocity.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with various levels of management.

- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.

Travel
Up to 15% travel to Pet Food Experts distribution centers region-wide may be required.
