About the role
The HR Generalist supports all HR operations, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and employee records.
Responsibilities
- Identify personnel needs and develop job descriptions
- Manage recruiting process (job postings, scheduling interviews, administering assessments, extending offers)
- Implement onboarding process (new hire orientation, benefit presentations)
- Assess candidate fit
- Modify and create job descriptions
- Support employee relations
- Assist with benefits administration (benefits enrollment, reporting)
- Maintain HR files and participate in HR improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Proven HR Generalist experience
- Understanding of HR policies and employment laws
- Aptitude in problem-solving
- Attention to detail and analytical skills
- Teamwork and results-driven approach
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with HRIS and various software programs
- Strong ethics and interpersonal skills
- Effective stress management and continuous learning
- Excellent presentation skills and knowledge of employment laws
- Ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment
- Good business communication skills
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Fluency in English and Spanish preferred
- Strong customer service skills
Physical Requirements
Regularly stand, reach, use hands and fingers, feel, operate objects, tools, and controls; stoop, kneel, squat, bend, crouch, or crawl; smell; frequently lift up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift up to 25 pounds; carry from floor level to waist level; push/pull objects with similar force.
