Duties and Responsibilities
- Recruitment, Onboarding & Retention
- Coordinate full-cycle recruitment for clinical and non-clinical roles, including nurses, behavioral health technicians, therapists, and support staff.
- Ensure pre-employment screening requirements are met, including background checks, license verification, TB testing, and drug screening.
- Conduct new hire orientation and ensure onboarding aligns with safety, compliance, and patient care standards.
- Support retention initiatives and employee engagement activities.
- Compliance & Regulatory Support
- Ensure HR practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, OSHA).
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulatory standards (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS, state behavioral health authorities).
- Support audits, inspections, and surveys by preparing documentation related to personnel files, training, and credentials.
- Maintain confidential employee files in accordance with HIPAA and privacy regulations.
- Leave Management & Benefits
- Assist with leave of absence programs including FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers’ compensation, and medical leaves.
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and questions; assist with annual Open Enrollment.
- Audit and reconcile Benefit invoices ensuring changes/adjustments are communicated to Payroll and the appropriate vendors.
- Ensure new hires and term employees are enrolled/canceled timely in all systems (HRIS and Vendor).
- Training & Performance Management
- Cookordinate mandatory training programs (e.g., CPI/De-escalation, HIPAA, workplace violence prevention).
- Support performance evaluation processes and corrective action documentation.
- Assist with leadership training and staff development initiatives.
- HR Operations & Reporting
- Maintain HRIS data accuracy and generate reports as needed.
- Support payroll by reviewing timekeeping accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
- Assist with policy development, updates, and communication.
- Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources.
- 3-5 years of Human Resources experience.
- Previous Medical HR experience preferred.
- PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.
- Experience with Paycom preferred.
