Key Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day HR operations including employee relations, onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and policy implementation
  • Aid in recruiting efforts including job postings, candidate coordination, interviews, and hiring processes
  • Lead onboarding processes to ensure a strong employee experience and successful integration into the company
  • Maintain employee records, HRIS systems, compliance documentation, and personnel files
  • Administer payroll support functions, timekeeping reviews, and employee attendance tracking
  • Support performance management initiatives, employee coaching, and leadership development efforts
  • Implement training programs, SOP communication, and workforce development initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations including California labor requirements
  • Coordinate workers compensation, leave administration, and return-to-work processes
  • Partner with leadership to strengthen company culture, communication, engagement, and accountability
  • Assist with employee investigations, conflict resolution, and corrective action documentation when necessary
  • Organize company meetings, employee recognition programs, engagement events, and internal communications
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies across HR and administrative processes

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Human Resources experience, preferably within manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Strong understanding of California employment law and HR best practices
  • Experience supporting recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance functions
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and emotional intelligence
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS/payroll systems
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and all levels of the organization
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
