Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day HR operations including employee relations, onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and policy implementation
- Aid in recruiting efforts including job postings, candidate coordination, interviews, and hiring processes
- Lead onboarding processes to ensure a strong employee experience and successful integration into the company
- Maintain employee records, HRIS systems, compliance documentation, and personnel files
- Administer payroll support functions, timekeeping reviews, and employee attendance tracking
- Support performance management initiatives, employee coaching, and leadership development efforts
- Implement training programs, SOP communication, and workforce development initiatives
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations including California labor requirements
- Coordinate workers compensation, leave administration, and return-to-work processes
- Partner with leadership to strengthen company culture, communication, engagement, and accountability
- Assist with employee investigations, conflict resolution, and corrective action documentation when necessary
- Organize company meetings, employee recognition programs, engagement events, and internal communications
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies across HR and administrative processes
Qualifications
- 3+ years of Human Resources experience, preferably within manufacturing or industrial environments
- Strong understanding of California employment law and HR best practices
- Experience supporting recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance functions
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and emotional intelligence
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS/payroll systems
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and all levels of the organization
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
