This position serves as a member of a team responsible for all day-to-day administrative operations of the Human Resources Department, providing support and services to schools, departments, current and prospective employees.
Responsibilities
- Provide human resources assistance for all HR operations from employee induction to separation, including recruitment, hiring, employment documentation, new employee orientation, mandatory training, personnel files, and certificate compliance.
- Monitor and maintain the online application system; verify open positions; oversee the interview and selection process with district administrators.
- Maintain and update current job descriptions.
- Assist with American with Disabilities Act (ADA) issues; respond to and follow up on employee inquiries; maintain documentation.
- Assist with collective bargaining and Labor-Management issues.
- Support implementation of the employee benefits program, including orientation, enrollment, employee inquiries, and processing forms.
- Receive, report, and process workers compensation and unemployment claims in compliance with state and federal laws.
- Analyze and interpret District policies, regulations, collective bargaining agreements, and applicable laws to ensure compliance.
- Develop and submit the annual staffing budget for all regular positions.
- Coordinate and manage employment background checks.
- Serve as the lead substitute coordinator; maintain the substitute management system; coordinate hiring, training, and address conduct or performance issues.
- Prepare and maintain employee contracts and stipend requests.
- Maintain records and documentation for hiring, compliance, and required reporting.
- Prepare and submit required District, state, and federal reports.
- Perform other job-related duties as requested.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field and three years of increasingly responsible human resources experience, or any combination of targeted education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Knowledge of English language structure, spelling, grammar, and composition.
- Knowledge of general human resources principles, procedures, and practices.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to navigate challenges and meet customer service needs effectively.
- Ability to comply with applicable District, local, state, and federal laws, policies, and practices.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently with sound judgment.
- Ability to manage time and tasks efficiently with consistent, prompt, and punctual attendance.
- Ability to serve diverse needs with cultural sensitivity and relevance.
- Ability to interpret complex information, perform complex math calculations, and ensure compliance with policies and laws.
- Ability to use job-related equipment, technology, and software.

This position reports to the Director for Human Resources.
Pay
Base salary: $85,644 - $105,278 DOE (paid at the 2026-27 salary schedule).
Schedule
Work year: September 1 - August 31
Work schedule: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday.
