Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide support to employees on various HR related topics and respond to routine HR questions including, but not limited to benefits, payroll, vacation, and workers compensation.
- Aid in the development and implementation of employee policies, practices, and procedures.
- Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions.
- Source for viable candidates for open positions.
- Aid in the new hire onboarding process.
- Perform administrative tasks such as maintaining HR data and records.
- Support payroll processing and administration.
- Review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Participate in new hire orientation.
- Administer training programs as needed.
- Participate in the development, interpretation and communication of human resources items.
- Aid in the oversight of performance reviews, worker’s compensation, and administration of benefits.
- Manage the on-line HRIS onboarding and employee portal.
- Aid in annual EEO-1 and affirmative action plan reporting.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local laws.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, or related field or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of progressive human resources experience including experience with recruitment activities.
- Payroll processing experience a plus.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Knowledge of federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
- Detail oriented and organized with strong ability to see projects to completion.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
- High level of professionalism, integrity, confidentiality and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills and sound decision-making.
