Human Resources Generalist

About the role

The HR Generalist at Oak Orchard Health supports the organization's mission to provide high quality, compassionate healthcare by offering comprehensive Human Resources support.

Responsibilities

• Support HR operations through reporting, workforce analytics, compliance audits, payroll audits, payroll backup support, and employee payroll inquiries.
• Cook up and support onboarding activities, including post-employment processes, new hire orientation, student and resident onboarding, and fostering a positive employee experience from offer acceptance through orientation.
• Aid in training and development initiatives by crafting training materials, tracking completion records, evaluating program effectiveness, and assisting in employee growth opportunities.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, organizational policies, and payor enrollment requirements as needed.
• Participate in HR projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and cross-functional support activities to advance departmental and organizational goals.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of Human Resources experience, with a focus on Healthcare Human Resources.
• Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred

• Experience with Payor Enrollment, specifically with Medallion.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience facilitating employee orientation and onboarding.
• Payroll processing or payroll support experience.
• Experience developing and delivering employee training.
