ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Captures the company's workers compensation program and files claims within 48 hours.
- Follows up on all workers compensation administrative requirements and communicates updates to employees, supervisors, and leadership.
- Guides employees and supervisors on FMLA & LOA, tracks leaves of absence, and sends required notices.
- Collaborates with the Benefits group to ensure insurance premiums are paid during leave periods.
- Handles confidential reports and maintains employee record confidentiality.
- Assists with annual benefits open enrollment and employee relations.
- Investigates problems and provides guidance to employees, supervisors, and managers.
- Conducts exit interviews and identifies trends to improve employee retention.
- Supports recruitment efforts and assists with staffing needs.
- Administers employee surveys and distributes information on company policies and events.
- Performs administrative duties in HR, such as assembling and distributing information.
- Supports a culture of safe production and operations by following safety rules and participating in training activities.
- Communicates safety information to new employees and fulfills responsibilities outlined in the company safety management plan.
