The Human Resources Generalist, in consultation with the HR Manager, will be responsible for oversight of HR core processes, including, onboarding, offboarding, PeopleSoft transactions and data integrity, benefits administration and performance management. The HR Generalist will also provide support for all personnel matters to over 300 employees. The primary function is to provide day-to-day support to all levels of employees, management and assist with projects, and processes across a full range of HR functions. Scope Of Role & Responsibilities Onboarding and Offboarding Issue job offer letters and other internal communication, on-boarding and new hire orientation benefits presentation to all new hiresPosition Management Transaction: open, close, create, and/ or update positions that were approved as per the Vacancy Control Board and keeping track of all money associated with positionsComplete all transactions within PeopleSoft, including, hiring candidates, title changes, reimbursement code changes, functional and corporate title changes, compensation changes, etc.Conduct all voluntary separations, including, resignations, retirements.Conduct all exit surveys Background Investigations Conduct full background investigations (employment and education verification, fingerprinting, criminal history searches, NALU, excluded entities list, E-Verify, etc.) and reference checks. Benefits Guide and administer newly hired staff enrollment into benefit programs such as health, dental, pension and retirement plans.Acts as the primary resource for employee benefit and retirement inquires, including, conducting respective agencies for and with employees to obtain information HR Administration Administer various Human Resources policies and procedures.Compile and input data into HRIS systemProvide various reports monthly and as otherwise directedAudit the integrity of all data entry, classification and compensation related data and conduct a daily Payroll auditAdvise employees on leaves of absences and other available benefits such as worker’s compensation, disability, etc.Conduct personnel and background folder audits to ensure compliance with all applicable policies and regulations. Business Unit Liaison Serve as intermediate-level contact for all HR-related issues such as HR policy inquiry, benefits, employee information updates, performance management, VCB inquiries, employee health and safety, etc.Interpret Human Resources policies to ensure compliance with stated and implied regulations.Assist in special projects as needed and all other tasks as assigned Required Education, Training & Professional Experience A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is required.2-3 years’ experience in a Human Resources role is required.Must possess general knowledge, expertise with MS Office suite (Outlook, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint).Must have experience with HRIS, PeopleSoft preferred. Licensure And/or Certification Required PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP a plus but not required.
