Core Responsibilities

  • Partner with managers and employees to resolve workplace concerns while promoting positive relationships
  • Provide case-by-case coaching and consultation to managers regarding employee relations, performance management, documentation, corrective action, and employment law
  • Interpret and apply organizational policies, procedures, and employment laws to ensure consistent decision-making
  • Build collaborative relationships with managers and employees while serving as a trusted HR resource
  • Conduct prompt, objective, and thorough workplace investigations involving employee complaints, policy violations, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and other workplace concerns
  • Gather, analyze, and document information while maintaining confidentiality and impartiality
  • Maintain accurate leave documentation and ensure compliance with applicable employment laws
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws through consistent application of Human Resources practices
  • Administer federal and state leave programs, including FMLA, CFRA, Pregnancy Disability Leave, military leave, and other protected leaves
  • Collapse interactive process and reasonable accommodation request in collaboration with managers and employees
  • Coordinate the interactive process and reasonable accommodation request in collaboration with managers and employees
  • Maintain accurate leave documentation and ensure compliance with applicable employment laws
  • Support implementation of Human Resources policies, procedures, and organizational initiatives
  • Deliver training and educational sessions for managers and employees and employment law, organizational policies, processes, and compliance topics
  • Collaborate with the HR Manager and HR Director on projects that strengthen Human Resources programs and organizational effectiveness

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, balance competing deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a collaborative HR team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or similar
  • Minimum three (3) years of progressively responsible Human Resource experience
  • Experience in employee relations, leave administration, workplace investigation, and employment law preferred
  • Working knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and the ability to effectively utilize HR technology to support assigned Human Resources programs
  • Strong project management experience
