Human Resources Generalist
iSuite L.L.C. is a business support services organization formed in 2023, providing business development, estimating, safety, accounting, human resources, information technology, marketing, and training services to clients within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (A/E/C) industry. This role is based at our office in Charlotte, NC, with a monthly trip to our Raleigh, NC location and occasional quarterly travel to other office locations.
About the Role
The Human Resources Generalist will spend approximately 50% of their time on recruitment activities and will collaborate closely with leaders, employees, and candidates across the organization. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, a self-starter attitude, and a personable, energetic approach with a strong sense of ownership and leadership.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for critical roles, including partnering with Hiring Managers to identify talent needs, developing job descriptions and requirements, and building sourcing strategies aligned with market trends.
- Leverage multiple channels such as job boards, social media, career fairs, in-person events, and external recruiters (as needed).
- Coordinate interviews, gather candidate feedback, and assist with offer letter development and negotiation.
- Serve as a company advocate and main point of contact for candidates and current employees, addressing questions about the interview process, company policies, benefits, and core values.
- Assist with developing and onboarding new employees to ensure they feel welcome and prepared with the tools and resources needed for success.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures; interpret, explain, and provide guidance on policies, procedures, and state/federal regulations.
- Support the HR Director with employee relations, including performance or behavior conversations, documentation, and investigations.
- Conduct employee stay and exit interviews; compile and report data collected from interviews.
- Create, administer, and provide in-house training programs for human resources.
- Maintain an essential understanding of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices (e.g., Title VII, FLSA, ADA, Leaves of Absence, STD/LTD, FMLA, USERRA, WC).
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment regulations.
- Design, implement, and update Human Resource programs and processes to achieve organizational objectives.
- Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to improve departmental efficiency and services.
Requirements
- At least four years of experience in Talent Acquisition, Recruiting, Onboarding, and/or Human Resources (experience in engineering, manufacturing, or construction-adjacent industries preferred).
- Union experience is a plus but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of North Carolina employment law is required.
- Ability to travel monthly to Raleigh, NC, and occasionally to other office locations.
- Exceptional communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organization, planning, and change management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple duties with consistent attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong computer skills and in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based programs.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative, efficient, and solution-based mindset.
- Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems and HRIS is a plus.
- Experience in the construction industry or with the LinkedIn Recruiter platform is a plus.

Pay
Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000
