The Strongsville facility (100,000 sq. ft., 90+ employees) is a center of excellence for the final assembly of landing gear, focusing on critical machining operations for major commercial aircraft programs such as the Boeing 777 and Embraer E-2, as well as military programs including the F-18, F-35, C-17, and C-130. The division emphasizes advanced manufacturing processes, machining automation, and techniques to remain a top producer of complex landing gear components.

About the Role

The Human Resources Generalist reports to the Human Resource Manager at the Strongsville, OH plant and is primarily responsible for employee engagement, benefits administration, and supporting the Payroll and HR Managers with operational tasks and initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee administration of all benefits, including invoices, enrollments, terminations, and addressing employee questions.
  • Coordinate and facilitate annual benefits open enrollment.
  • Oversee and coordinate onboarding and offboarding of employees, collaborating with necessary staff.
  • Answer employee queries regarding HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist the HR Manager and Business Partner with tracking HR information, reports, and presentations.
  • Support the Payroll Supervisor with payroll-related duties, including logging internal promotions and changes.
  • Assist with employee relations and investigations.
  • Manage the training program, including requirements, record retention, and reporting.
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives and event planning.
  • Maintain visitor ITAR regulations and monitoring.
  • Ensure personnel files are up to date and maintain confidentiality in all work.
  • Handle special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in a Human Resources Coordinator role, with expertise in benefits administration, health and safety, recruiting, and employee relations.
  • Experience with HRIS systems.
  • Excellent collaboration and project management skills.
  • Customer service-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, taking initiative and ownership of responsibilities.
