Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead the area of employee recruitment, hiring, and compensation.
- Partner with all GRM employees for specific HR-related tasks.
- Greet guests, including visitors, volunteers, vendors, employees, guests, donors, community groups, church groups, and public officials.
- Maintain healthy Christ-honoring relationships with employees, guests, and volunteers while maintaining professional boundaries, including guest confidentiality.
- Participate in maintaining the Standards of Excellence.
- Create and maintain an environment of love, grace, dignity, and respect.
- Schedule and oversee new employee onboarding and core training.
- Oversee and collect training records.
- Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
- Manage the recruiting HRIS system.
- Screen applications, coordinate with staffing agencies, and schedule interviews.
- Notify applicants and candidates of application status.
- Collaborate with the Human Resources Director and managers during the hiring process.
- Manage the Pre-Employment Screening and conduct reference checks.
- Generate monthly reports for the Employee Scorecard.
- Aid in the development and implementation of employee engagement and recognition initiatives.
- Assist with payroll preparation and review bi-weekly timesheets.
- Process workers' compensation claims for GRM team employees.
- Maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Organize and prepare training materials and manage training activities.
- Attend professional training and networking opportunities.
- Perform general administrative office duties as directed.
- Attend employee meetings and devotions.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in Human Resources-related positions such as recruitment, hiring, and compensation.
- Knowledge or experience with HRIS (Human Resources Information System).
- Experience with ATS (Applicant Tracking System) a plus.
- 2-plus years of experience with people development, leading, or supervision.
- Basic knowledge of federal, state, and local laws.
- Basic knowledge of labor and employment law regulations and best practices.
- Advanced certification, such as Professional (PHR) in Human Resources, a plus.
- Trustworthy with confidential information.
- Advanced computer skills, including data entry, data processing, communication skills, payroll, and Human Resources software.
- Problem-solving skills and resourceful thinking.
- Leadership and coaching skills.
- Emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- A valid Arizona Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
