Job Overview
As the HR Generalist, you are the operational engine of our people function. You own the day-to-day execution of core HR processes, ensuring that payroll runs flawlessly, our HRIS remains immaculate, and our quarterly performance cycles execute on time.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll & Benefits Administration
- Precise Execution: Manage and execute the end-to-end bi-weekly payroll processing with strict attention to detail and zero margin for error.
- Benefits Management: Serve as the administrator for employee benefits programs, handling enrollments, terminations, monthly billing reconciliation, and open enrollment logistics.
- Time & Attendance: Monitor and audit timekeeping records for both corporate and field staff, ensuring compliance with labor standards and accurate overtime tracking.
Performance Management & Cycle Ownership
- Cycle Management: Own the operational schedule and administrative rhythm of our quarterly performance evaluation cycles.
- System Stewardship: Serve as the "Product Owner" and administrator for our performance tracking platforms. Ensure 100% review completion rates, track goal progress, and maintain clean, actionable performance data.
- Support & Training: Act as the first line of support for managers and employees navigating the performance management system, providing technical guidance and reinforcing evaluation standards.
Core HR Operations & Digital Competency
- HRIS Management: Maintain and optimize our HRIS database, ensuring all employee files, status changes, and organizational structures are accurately recorded and compliant.
- Process Improvement: Continuously review and streamline internal HR workflows (e.g., leave requests, offboarding, status changes) to reduce administrative friction for field and corporate teams.
- First-Level Support: Serve as the primary contact for daily employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and basic benefits or payroll questions.
- Policy Education: Educate staff and field teams on baseline internal company policies (such as Per Diem guidelines and labor standards).
Recruitment and Onboarding
- Post roles, review resumes against defined criteria, and conduct structured first-round screening interviews to identify qualified candidates.
- Schedule and manage hiring manager and team interviews, ensuring a consistent and organized evaluation process.
- Collect interview feedback, align on final candidate selection, and manage offer issuance, background checks, and pre-employment documentation.
- Career Development: Coordinate onboarding logistics, including documentation, system setup, and orientation to ensure a smooth Day 1 transition.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus but not required
- 3–6+ years of hands-on HR operations experience in a fast-paced, multi-entity or multi-location environment.
- Proven ownership of payroll processing including audits, adjustments, and reporting
- Demonstrated ownership of HRIS systems including data integrity and reporting.
- Proven ability to support full-cycle recruitment for entry to mid-level roles.
- Experience supporting or administering performance management cycles (quarterly or annual) using systems such as Trakstar or similar.
- Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws (FLSA, wage/hour, leave policies)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
