About the Role
This position partners with functional leaders on a broad range of activities to develop and implement HR solutions that support strategic goals and employee needs. The role serves as a resource to team members, providing reliable direction and counsel on HR-related issues while ensuring consistency and compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develops positive relationships with team members at all levels to provide creative HR solutions.
- Builds a reputation as a neutral and approachable human resources professional.
- Handles employee relations issues and makes recommendations to resolve concerns and improve morale.
- Monitors, audits, and investigates HR-related matters and regulations to ensure compliant resolution.
- Provides individual coaching and advice to managers and employees on company policies, performance management, training, professional development, compensation, benefits, disability, and employee engagement.
- Manages full life-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, evaluating resumes, prescreening applicants, interviewing, evaluating skills, and negotiating compensation.
- Utilizes various channels to conduct strategic sourcing to identify and engage top active and passive talent.
- Develops and revises policies, practices, and procedures as needed.
- Responds promptly to unemployment-related requests and represents the company at unemployment hearings.
- Maintains the highest level of confidentiality and sensitivity regarding all HR-related matters and information.
- Maintains human resource information system (HRIS) records.
- Manages workers’ compensation and general liability claims, ensuring legal obligations are met and facilitating prompt return to work.
- Ensures key HR metrics are maintained and conducts surveys to measure results.
- Requires 20% travel.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience within Human Resources.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Highly motivated, confidential, well-organized, and quality-focused.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Strong knowledge of HRIS (ADP) desired.
- Broad understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (oral and written).
- Team-oriented professional who can handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a team, be proactive, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to identify and solve problems, meet deadlines, and work independently in a dynamic environment.
- Strong business acumen and ability to influence and develop relationships at all levels.
