About the role
Atwood Companies is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support its growing organization across property management, real estate, and mortgage operations. The role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys helping people, solving problems, creating consistency, and managing the day-to-day functions of Human Resources.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating recruiting, onboarding, and new hire orientation
- Administering payroll, benefits, leave administration, and HRIS processes
- Supporting employee relations, policy interpretation, and performance management
- Maintaining HR records and ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies
- Aiding with training coordination, employee communications, and compliance reporting
- Assisting with employee recognition, engagement, wellness, and company events
- Identifying opportunities to improve HR processes, documentation, and systems
- Staying current on employment laws and HR best practices while helping leadership navigate regulatory changes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Two or more years of Human Resources experience
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and Minnesota employment laws
- Experience supporting recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR software platforms
Qualifications
- Preferred SHRM, HRCI or other relevant certification
- Experience supporting a multi-location workforce
- Experience with ADP TotalSource or similar HRIS/payroll systems

- Compensation: $55,000 - $65,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience

Pay
$55,000 - $65,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience

Monday through Friday
8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
