Responsibilities
- Aid in all HR functions including payroll, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance with employment laws.
- Handle employment-related inquiries and investigations.
- Care for the hiring process, including job postings, interviews, and candidate assessments.
- Coordinate new hire orientation and ensure compliance with employment laws.
- Process employment eligibility documentation and assist with employee benefits.
- Promote a positive work environment through communication and conflict resolution.
- Manage payroll using Paylocity and assist with employee logins and adjustments.
- Maintain employee morale and support engagement activities.
- Assist with performance evaluations and employee recognition programs.
- Communicate and promote employee benefits programs.
- Support career development and training initiatives.
- Stay informed about labor laws and ensure company compliance.
- Ensure safety protocols are in place and enforced.
- Manage uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE) requests, security guard communications, and key fob administration.
- Provide administrative support to visitors and maintain breakroom cleanliness.
- Contribute to special projects and track progress.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years of proven experience in human resources.
- Extensive attention to detail with the ability to handle sensitive/confidential information.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in HR software and tools for recruitment and management.
- Working knowledge of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
- Understanding of employment laws, including ADA, FMLA, EEO, etc.
- High level of professionalism in handling confidential data.
- Strong skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
