About the role

This employee is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration; payroll administration; employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Poll electronic time clocks and review downloaded information for completeness and accuracy.
  • Process weekly and semi-monthly transfer of payroll data.
  • Create internal management reports from payroll system software.
  • Provide employee guidance to claims resolution for benefits administration.
  • Change reporting through benefits portal during Annual Open Enrollment administration.
  • Manage W/C claims reporting and resolution.
  • Guide employees through 401k enrollment and changes, and coordinate data between 401k portal and payroll system.
  • Administer and file EEO-1 reports annually.
  • Maintain and develop affirmative action program.
  • Develop and implement personnel policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
  • Create, post, source, qualify, interview, track, and make offers to candidates for various positions.
  • Administer Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA).
  • Assist in employee performance and development programs and team-building initiatives.
  • Handle employee relations issues.
  • Plan and schedule employee events.
  • Maintain company organization charts and employee directory.
  • Maintain HRIS records and compile reports from the database.
  • Create, run, and analyze reports related to headcount, compensation, benefits enrollment, workforce demographics, etc.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state employment regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience.
  • Prior experience in Human Resources.
  • Experience working with employee payroll and benefits and/or in Customer Service is a plus.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Qualifications

  • Must be proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Has generalist knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Human Resources field.
  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate with candidates, employees at all levels in the organization, and partners.
  • Confidentiality is a must.

$85,000 - $110,000 annually
