About the role
Kadima Health and Nursing at South Hills is seeking a Human Resource Director to support the mission of offering quality care and creating a loving, compassionate environment for residents.
Responsibilities
- Review requests from department heads for new and replacement personnel, fill requests as approved, and arrange interviews, appointments, etc.
- Compile statistical data for the Administrator and corporate office.
- Process payroll.
- Manage union experience in healthcare.
- Maintain job application files for individuals interested in employment within the facility.
- File applications for positions, by position or alphabetically, including job applications, resumes, reference checks, etc., of those meeting eligibility requirements.
- Maintain a database log of all applicant names, job applied for, and action taken.
- Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent personnel information according to the Privacy Act and Kadima's personnel policies.
- Make written or oral reports/recommendations to the Administrator and/or Director of Human Resources concerning personnel needs, problem areas, etc.
- Perform administrative tasks such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc., and submit to the Administrator and/or Director of Human Resources as required.
- Comply with the Corporate Compliance plan.
- Complete all assigned tasks in accordance with established policies and procedures, and as directed by supervisors.
- Aid department directors in establishing vacation schedules as needed.
- Participate in employee performance evaluations, identifying growth needs and setting goals.
- Terminate employment of personnel when necessary, documenting and coordinating such actions with the Department Director and Administrator.
Requirements
Union experience in healthcare is preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in healthcare settings.
- Experience with payroll processing and management.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
