About the Community
Westminster Oaks is a senior living Life Plan Community located in Tallahassee, Florida. Our community offers independent living, assisted living, and nursing care for seniors.
Responsibilities
- Administer company policies and procedures relating to all phases of Human Resources activity personally or through others.
- Guide and manage the overall provision of Human Resources services and programs for the entire community.
- Oversee day-to-day HR operations, strategic partnering with department directors, and implement talent management strategy including cultural development, behavioral interviewing, on-boarding process, and performance management.
- Strategic planning and operations of the department by implementing cost control measures and meeting budget goals.
- Originate and lead Human Resources practices and objectives that provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture emphasizing empowerment, quality, productivity, standards, goal attainment, and workforce recruitment and development.
- Coordinate implementation of services, policies, and programs through Human Resources staff.
- Direct the preparation and maintenance of reports necessary to carry out department functions.
- Prepare periodic reports for management to track strategic goal accomplishment.
- Establish and lead recruiting and hiring practices and procedures to recruit and onboard new team members.
- Partner with management to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, programs, and laws.
- Conduct investigations.
- Monitor and advise managers and supervisors on the company’s progressive discipline policy.
- Lead the implementation of company safety and health programs.
- Monitor progress of all Workers’ Comp claims for the community.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA).
- 5 years of experience in HR Administration, employee relations, HRIS, and MS Office Suite.
- SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR certification is required.
