About the role

The Human Resources Director at Watermark Retirement Communities is responsible for the short and long-term planning and management of the Human Resources functions. This role serves as a strategic advisor to management on all associate-related matters and promotes a positive working culture where all associates can thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to management on all associate-related matters
  • Lead various functions including recruitment, on-boarding, associate relations, diversity, payroll, benefits administration, state and federal compliance, workers’ compensation, and training and safety
  • Deploy talents to their fullest as we drive the next 30 years of innovation in the senior housing industry

Requirements

  • A degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in a HR management role in senior living, hospitality, health care, or other regulated environment
  • In some circumstances, union experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of Ceridian Payroll and Dayforce is preferred
  • Experience with OnShift is a preferred
  • Full knowledge of state and federal HR laws
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Excellent computer skills with Word, Excel and online systems
