About the role
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) is seeking an Environmental Investigator II to join our team in Midland.
Responsibilities
- Conducts environmental investigations and inspections to ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
- Reviews permit applications and ensures that they meet all applicable requirements.
- Provides technical assistance to clients and stakeholders regarding environmental issues.
- Prepares reports and documentation related to environmental investigations and inspections.
Requirements
- Master's degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
- At least two years of relevant work experience in environmental compliance or enforcement.
- Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Qualifications
- Valid Texas driver’s license.
- Experience with GIS software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay
The starting salary range for this position is $53,448.00 to $53,448.00 annually.
