About the Role
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Human Resources for Eurest, the Human Resources Director serves as a strategic leader and trusted advisor to Division Presidents, Vice Presidents, and senior operational leaders across multiple business segments. This role develops and executes comprehensive people strategies aligned with organizational objectives, driving operational excellence and business growth. Responsibilities span talent management, organizational design, succession planning, employee relations, leadership development, workforce planning, change management, compliance, and risk mitigation. The HR Director partners with executive leadership to build high-performing teams, enhance employee engagement, and foster a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous development. This role ensures consistent implementation of HR policies and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws while influencing senior leaders through complex organizational challenges.
Responsibilities
- Supports and engages associates on Diversity & Inclusion initiatives.
- Participates in senior-level interviews for Regional and Operational leadership.
- Analyzes wage and salary reports to determine competitive compensation plans.
- Assesses and intervenes in ADA, FMLA, and Workers' Compensation cases.
- Conducts climate surveys and exit interviews; reviews Associate and Customer Satisfaction surveys to monitor morale and job satisfaction.
- Prepares reports and recommends procedures to drive labor efficiency.
- Facilitates and creates training materials for leadership development based on business needs.
- Provides expertise in all key HR specialist areas.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Hospitality Management/Integration, Statistics, or a related field.
- 10 years of experience in a multi-site, multi-state environment.
- Solid understanding of all key HR specialist areas.
- Associate relations experience (required).
- Previous operations experience (a plus).
- Union experience (highly desirable).
- Ability to travel up to 30%.
Location
The ideal candidate will be based in the Chicago area; however, highly qualified candidates located throughout the Midwest region will be considered.
Pay
Salary range: $140,000 – $160,000 per year, with a 15% annual bonus potential.
