About the role

The Human Resources Coordinator (Recruitment) position serves as the primary point of contact for recruiting-related functions and acts as the HR Department's Applicant Tracking System (ATS) "super user," providing training, troubleshooting, and workflow improvements. Along with recruitment, the position is also expected to be cross-trained in HR functions.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the recruitment and hiring process for faculty, staff, and temporary positions from job posting through onboarding.
  • Serve as the main contact for hiring managers on recruitment procedures, ensuring compliance with college policy, state regulations, and equal employment opportunity guidelines.
  • Serve as the college's ATS "super user."
  • Develop and deliver training to hiring managers on recruitment procedures, interviewing best practices, and effective use of the ATS.
  • Review and post job vacancies, screen applications for minimum qualifications, and support hiring committees throughout the candidate evaluation process.
  • Maintain and monitor the ATS, ensuring data integrity, system efficiency, and positive user experience.
  • Maintain job posting and vacancy tracking records and ensure all interview documents and required materials are submitted by search committees and properly stored in accordance with college procedures and retention requirements.
  • Aid in wage and salary surveys within specific markets to determine competitive rates.
  • Maintain the full-time job description database; review job descriptions with supervisors to ensure accuracy, appropriate classification, and compliance with approved formatting.
  • Aid in developing recruitment-related materials, including job advertisements, interview guides, and candidate communication templates.
  • Track and analyze recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, applicant source data) to improve processes and outcomes.
  • Ensure all documents and ratings are entered into the applicant tracking system before an offer is made.
  • Support onboarding activities for new hires in coordination with HR staff.
  • Participate in HR projects and cross-functional initiatives to support continuous improvement of HR systems and processes.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Three years of experience in recruitment, human resources, or a related area required.
  • One year of experience with applicant tracking systems.
  • Experience in a community college or public sector environment a plus.
