Human Resources Coordinator (HR Coordinator)
About the Role
The first person many employees, applicants, and visitors meet at the Technical College of the Lowcountry is someone from Human Resources. We're looking for a friendly, organized, and technology-minded professional who takes pride in creating a welcoming experience while helping build a modern, innovative HR department. As our Human Resources Coordinator, you'll coordinate onboarding and offboarding, support recruitment activities, administer key HR programs, and help ensure every employee has a positive experience from their first day through every stage of their employment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate employee onboarding, orientation, and offboarding.
- Complete Form I-9 employment eligibility verification and onboarding documentation.
- Manage the hiring process for temporary employees, adjunct faculty, and student work-study positions.
- Coordinate on-campus interviews and support recruitment efforts.
- Administer the College's performance management processes (EPMS and FPMS).
- Coordinate Position Description updates and Position Control.
- Serve as the primary in-office Human Resources representative.
- Coordinate HR events, orientations, and employee engagement activities.
- Help improve HR processes through technology and innovation.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and Human Resources experience is required.
- Higher education or public sector Human Resources experience (preferred).
- Experience with Ellucian Colleague or other HR information systems (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and electronic document management (preferred).
- Professional HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent) is a plus.
